2011-13 Swinging Skirts World Ladies Masters

In 2011, the Swinging Skirts Golf Club surprised the world when they successfully hosted the Swinging Skirts TLPGA Invitational as a single host unit, and Yani Tseng from Taiwan took home the championship trophy in the inaugural game. In the following year, Swinging Skirts expanded the player field to a World Ladies Masters, and Korean Choi Na-yeon was crowned the winner. In the third year, Korean-born New Zealand prodigy Lydia Ko displayed sensational skills, coming back from trailing by one stroke to winning the championship.


2014-16 Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic

In 2014, the Swinging Skirts Golf Foundation crossed the Pacific to the United States, becoming the title sponsor of the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic held in San Francisco. In 2015, they expanded the player field once again, while also increasing the purse to US$2 million. Then-No. 1-ranked Lydia Ko managed to defend her crown both years. Last year, in the final year of the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic held at the Lake Merced Golf Club, Japanese Haru Nomura prevailed from the group, scoring a total of 279 (-9) and winning by 4 strokes, en route to her second LPGA title of the year.


2017-18 Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship

Over the past few years, the Swinging Skirts Golf Club has not only showed the Americans how flourishing Taiwanese women’s golf has developed by reaching the other side of the Pacific, but has also built a diplomatic bridge of sports between Taiwan and the United States through golf and other related art exhibitions.

The Swinging Skirts Foundation is returning to Taiwan in 2017, becoming the title sponsor of the finest sporting event in Taiwan—the 2017 Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship—with a purse of US$2.2 million.

After winning U.S. Women’s Open in 2009, Ji had to wait for the sweet taste of victory, she finished the last round with a flawless performance, 7 under par at 65 strokes. With 16 under par and a total of 271 strokes across the tournament, Ji won the championship by 6 strokes, and took home her second title in career, ending an eight-year winless drought.

In 2018, 20-year-old American Nelly Korda kept her composure and held off overnight co-leader Wei-Ling Hsu of Taiwan and a handful of challengers to cruise to a 4-under 68 in the final round of the Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship for a 2-shot win, her first career victory on the LPGA tour.

2019 Taiwan Swinging Skirts LPGA

This year the tournament has changed its title name from “The Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championships” to “The Taiwan Swinging Skirts LPGA”, which will not only attract the best players from all over the world to come here to compete, but it will also draw millions of global fans to watch the telecast of the tournament.

The Swinging Skirts ladies golf tournament, well into its 9th year, has been chosen by the Sports Administration, Ministry of Education, to be a “Taiwan Branded Sports Event”. The tournament will market Taiwan by changing its title.
